i kinda think of them as semi-gods, (don't get me wrong, they are the most influential band in the last ten yrs). but a string of another triad like computer-ok-amnesiac, well then i'll give 'em demi status.

Yep. I was thinking of how there seems to be influential groundbreaking bands by decades.
60's Beatles Stones
70's Led Zep or Pink Floyd (This is one of those Elvis/Beatles divisions, you either like one or the other more.....not equally)
80's U2, XTC Midnight Oil
90's Radiohead Pixies
00's Who Knows?
