Hmmmm, what does "HDR" mean? Why does that look so anemic?

HDR is High Dynamic Range which creates a more digital look. It highlights the dirrernces in contrast when taken to extremes, which this one was.I suppose in some instances it takes the "soul" out of a pic and makes it more cartoonish. That may explain the anemic look.
