I have to admit that to my eye, that is the best shot I have seen of the Pasha. I'm no photographer - so excuse the dumb questions - but have you tinkered with the colours?
I do love ships and photos thereof (and this one is especially nice), but I can't help but think about what kind of bad day for some poor captain that represents.
Often, when things go bad in my life, I imagine it is like this; a tug in the wrong direction and the sudden sinking feeling and panic as fate pushes you up on the sand while everything you do is to no avail. At least it was nice and sandy, rather then harsh rocks, this time.
Have you run aground? "Hi, my name's Johnno and I'm a blogger. It's been three weeks since my last post..."
"Hi, Johnno..."
I promise you. Things can turn ugly very quickly. Just one more post and things will be back to normal...
HDR's not happened for me, Johnno, but it's great to see what and how much you're getting out of it. I'm getting enough of a kick out of doing the conventional baby-steps stuff for now, i.e. learning what a digital can do despite my bungling.
I'll wait for the new Photomatix -- so that I can use the old.
Ha! Thanks Mike. I haven't really had much to write about lately..... a small hiatus. Been gardening and photographing a lot so I suppose the creative energies are being used up there.
