Uberman or devolution?

J Alva Scruggs at UFO Breakfast writes a piece about devolution from Reagan to Bush and questions how bad will it get next.

I left a comment noting how I'd noticed a re-emergence of braces in Sydney last week. 80's revivalism seems to be on the increase.

Nostalgia is history viewed through rose-coloured glasses.

  • The production values haven't gotten any better either. The Clintons were actually worse, for all Bill's ability to utter coherent sentences, than Reagan and Bush the First. As a consumer of governance products, I feel I'm entitled to something a bit more impressive than bad prime time television melodramas. Why not outsource the whole thing to HBO? I understand they do pretty good stuff.
