I hate to admit this, but the first time I heard it was on Thursday night when a copy of Forty Licks turned up in the mail.
Jeez I was missing out.
It struck right down to my bones. Immediate 5 star rating and high rotation on the PC.

wow, i got hazy memories of late nights in high school with my shitty lil stereo and a total of 30 lps and this was in heavy rotation.
if you haven't seen the movie of the same name, rent it, steal it, but see it!
