LOL.... It would be nice to take her over there and fly down the Autoroute with the sunroof open.
I'm thinking that lovely section overlooking the Medditeranean.... gorgeous! then one thinks about the price of French gasoline and comes back sown to earth with a resounding, "THUD!". It would be a short trip!
Once (sober) I was asked the favour of repatriating a 300 pound alcoholic from some beach just outside of Nice, to London. In an open topped, right-hand drive Vauxhall or some such UK marque, listing hard to the side of the unconscious passenger, I drove at least 160 kph across the country on the Paige, but failed to make the last ferry at Calais. The French make beautiful roads. The next morning, my passenger was in better form if worse spirits, but it was only a quick ferry ride and Kent to London.
In late August (28th to be...) I shall take a train along the Ligurian and Provencal coast, from Milan through Nice to Avignon.

Gee, didn't realize you were such a Francophile, that your ol' 450 could rush on over so fast, for the holiday. Don't get too heavy, man!
