Morning visitor

First picture of one of the reclusive wallabies around my place. There's an unusual amont of wildlife lately. Yesterday a couple of eagles were doing their round and last week a couple of lyre birds were warbling away in one of the most wonderful displays I've ever heard.

  • You must live in the middle of a freaking zoo...

We know of wallabies only through Australian drinking songs. Are they like a small roo? Do they cause problems? Vicious or harmless? And echoing Brian - tasty?

  • So, like, do ya' got a billabong somewhere about? Those animuls would be barbecue, before you could say Jackie Robinson, in these parts. The marvel of the tail counterweight design, is something to see.

Thought of you at the local town meeting. One of the last ghost town, z-boys storefront was saved from the wreckers ball for "historical" reasons.

  • Well I've never had wallaby but I have had kangaroo steak which is rather good. It's sort of like very lean steak. A wallaby is like a shetland pony version of the Kangaroo.

The tail is like a rat's, eh?

Peter, thanks for the news on the old Z-boys shopfront.
